The common carder bee is a common ginger bumblebee that can be found in lots of different environments, including gardens, in spring, summer and even into autumn.
As a matter of fact, it is the only ginger bumblebee that is common.
The queens, workers and males of this species look very alike.
This species falls into the category of long-tongued bumblebees, which means that it can forage on a range of flowers with different corolla lengths.
