Dancing to the Rhythm of Wales

Bruce Langridge

I see some wonderful things from my office window, situated on the first floor of the Stable Block.

Red kites overhead, house martins diving in and out of their nests, happy visitors laughing with each other, excited brides, nervous grooms, moth identifiers, paint splattered artists, harpists and today, for our St David’s Day celebrations, Dawnswyr Llanarthne (the Llanarthne Dancers), dressed in their finest Welsh costumes. The watching girl behind the dancers looks like she’ll be dancing too one day.

From my office window last year I watched a dancing troupe from Karelia, a region from north-west Russia that no-one I work with, including myself, had even heard of.  They were great.
