Seven breathtakingly beautiful gardens in West Wales have come together to promote their magnificent gardens to visitors.
West Wales is already famous for its outstanding beauty, history and coastal scenery. Great Gardens of West Wales now offer privileged access to a group of internationally important gardens and plant collections located in this exquisite part of the world.
These gardens are among the treasures of West Wales. The temperate climate of the area encourages the development of many rare and exotic trees and plants from around the globe providing a show of vibrant colours, enchanting perfumes, and stunning vistas. All seven of these fabulous gardens are situated in spectacular locations with wonderful collections of plants and trees.
They represent a range of styles ranging from modern to historic, woodland to coastal. They complement each other perfectly in type of garden as well as the ways they change with the seasons. Participating gardens are The National Botanic Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens, Upton Castle Gardens, Cae Hir Gardens, Picton Castle and Gardens, Dyffryn Fernant Garden, and Colby Woodland Garden.

Each garden will offer an attractive discount or special offer to visitors presenting the GGWW leaflet/passport, which can be picked up throughout the area including of course at the gardens themselves. Visitors just need to show the leaflet/passport at any of the “Great Gardens” to be stamped as proof of entry, they are then charged the standard rate of entry on their first visit but then their stamped leaflet/passport will qualify them to discounted rates or offers at all of the “Great Gardens of West Wales” until the end of this year.

FURTHER INFORMATION The Great Gardens of West Wales has been formed to jointly raise the profile of gardens in the West Wales area and, in turn, add more value to the local economy.
Joint funding from each of the Great Gardens of West Wales has been used to create a combined leaflet. Future combined projects planned include public relations, branding, website and events.
